Accessibility
Version 1.0 · Effective
Our goal
We want MedicareScout to be easy for everyone to read and use. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2, level AA, and to go further where it helps older adults.
What we do
- Large text by default, with plenty of space between lines.
- Strong contrast between text and background.
- Large buttons and links that are easy to tap.
- Pages that still work when you zoom in to four times the normal size.
- Every part works with a keyboard alone, and you can always see where you are on the page.
- Pages work with the screen readers built into phones, tablets, and computers.
- No time limits, and nothing moves on its own.
- Plain words, with hard terms explained.
How we check
Every page is checked by automated accessibility tests each time we change the site. Before we open MedicareScout to the public, we will also test it with people who use screen readers and with older adults.
Tell us about a problem
If something is hard to read or use, please email us at dave.eland@elandagile.com. Tell us which page you were on and what happened. We read every message, and we will work to fix the problem.
